Azah has NEVER in her life wore makeup, so this was an interesting assignment for me. Makeup was kept to a very natural but sweet look. The result was a naturally pretty Azah. I'm sure her fiancee agreed! Check out her before and after photos!

NN called me up to do her makeup dinner makeup today. She opted for a smokey-eyed but natural look. It was very easy to makeup the lovely Miss Nadiah, with her flawless skin. Check out the photos!

Affid my friend neded a new, fresh look for job-hunting. This makeup is natural, but pretty for the office or an interview.

I just used Maybelline's mousse foundation. Then natural yellow/brown eyeshadow. a bit of blusher and some pink gloss! I don't like using lipstick for the office. My lips usually get dry from the aircon. So lipgloss is great for daily wear.

Today I had the honor of doing Aishah's makeup for her akad nikah. Aishah already has pretty eyes and makeup just enhanced them more to look fabulous! She opted for pink eyeshadow; to copy a look from Sazzy Falak's makeup on a magazine cover. I hope I managed to pull off the look as close as possible. Tapi Aishah cantik lagi kot...heheh

Went to makeup Syhuhada on 9 Sept. for her engagement. Syuhada opted for a natural, but sweet look. Doing makeup was easy for the cheerful and cute Syuhada.

I've always been a big fan of the smokey eyed look, no matter for day or night. This was one of the reasons I took up makeup lessons in the first place, to learn to do it on my own.

Last weekend I worked on my lovely model, Tunku Adrina for green-colored smokey eyes. Asian women should wear try wearing green eyeshadow as it contrasts with our brown eyes and makes them 'pop.

Later that evening, I worked on Farah who was attending a wedding dinner at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. She requested for the popular 'smokey eye' look. Farah's baju kurung was maroon and brown, so i used lavender and brown shadow on her eyes, pink cheeks and nude lipgloss to balance out her dark eyes.

Gold shimmer powder was used as the last touch-up to brighten the face and give it a dewey glow. This looks especially lovely under the yellow lighting in hotels.

** Makeup tip of the week: To make smokey eyes, use a small, flat brush or a narrow cotton bud. After eyeliner at the bottom of the eyes, go over it with a a dark-brown eyeshadow and the eyeshadow used on the top lashes.

Glowing and ready for a glamorous night out!

Last week my ex-schoolmate Ms. Niera came over to hang out. She wanted me to do her makeup before we went out. Ms. Niera was wearing my favorite color PINK!

I used Revlon eyemakeup using the pink/purple quad. Maybelline Sky High Curves mascara made her lashes extremely long. Checkout the before and after pics.

*Tip for thicker- looking lashes: After the first coat of mascara, dust the lashes with some loose powder. Then apply more mascara. Lashes will look extra long and thick!

I found some really interesting pics from Marie Claire magazine which glamorized the hijab. It shows beautiful Arab girls wearing black hijab/purdah, while still looking fashionable. These girls are from Dubai and wear designer like Gucci, Prada, Chanel etc.

I think the magazine's intentions were good.....depicting girls in Hijab as glamorous, but still it defeats the basic purpose of wearing a hijab....to be modest and protect dignity. But you can't deny though, they DO look great!
